ADULT FORMATION

How do I respond to what God has done for me through Jesus? The rescue mission of Jesus is two-fold: it is for us personally, and it’s something that is supposed to continue through us. Hence, our faith formation offerings aim to help us grow in intimacy with Christ (inward focus) AND equip us to be His witnesses in our sphere of influence (outward focus).

Upcoming Studies

The Letters of St. Paul

The Letters of St. Paul can both challenge and inspire us: the "armor of God," the "thorn in the flesh," "running the race," the “mystical Body of Christ.” In the midst of such profound theological depth and passionate pastoral exhortations, what do Paul’s writings teach us about daily discipleship, the mystery of suffering, and the transforming power of grace?

Join us as we prayerfully study the Pauline Epistles in the order that they were chronologically written. St. Paul's letters have very practical implications for us now, including a call to deeper conversion and an unwavering hope in God's promises. We will remain rooted in both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition and faithful to the Magisterium.

Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come

This is an intriguing study that shows how the kingdom established by Christ in his Church is intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. Here, you will discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean. You will see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the “end times.” It is a revelation of God as our Divine Bridegroom and the Church as his spotless bride, forever united in a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage that we enter into every time we celebrate the Mass.

This is an 11-session study.

Mission

The Letters of St. Paul

Why do children die? Why is there human trafficking? Why is there abortion, abuse, and cancer? The simple answer is because the devil is real. Many naively imagine that we were born into some sort of neutral territory, when in fact we were born in a war zone and into a battle.

This is why God sent us his Son. Jesus came to fight and save us from certain death at the hands of the enemy. But God did not become a man to rescue us so that only a handful of people would know about it. He desires everyone to be saved. But how can others come to believe in him if they don’t hear about him? RESCUED PEOPLE RESCUE PEOPLE! We invite you to come get equipped for the rescue mission.

The Rescue Project is a global movement that launched in 2022. It flows from the conviction that the most urgent task in the Church is a compelling and attractive proclamation of the gospel. Its aim is threefold: that people might be 1) overwhelmed by the good news of what God has done for us, 2) moved to surrender their lives to Jesus in faith, and 3) mobilized for mission.

The Rescue Project as an eight-week book + video experience of the gospel run in small group format within parishioner homes. Complete the registration form to express interest in attending or leading a home-based study.

DATES: Ongoing

LOCATION: Parishioner Homes
