Chris Stier

Position: Director of Faith Formation

Bio: Chris had a long career in technology, including seven years at Google, before discerning the call to work full time for the Lord. A graduate of the Encounter School of Ministry, he served at St. Mary for five years as DRE, before accepting the position as Director of Faith Formation in our St. John Paul II Parish. He is focused on forming adults as missionary disciples to witness in the power of the Holy Spirit through a model of teaching, equipping and activating.

Christy Kremer

Position: Associate Director of Sacrament Preparation

Bio: Through her career as an educator, Christy brings a wealth of classroom teaching experience across multiple grade levels.  She completed a Certificate of Catholic Theology in Catechesis from McGrath Institute for Church Life, Notre Dame and has served as a volunteer with the St. John Paul II Parish youth group and sacrament preparation program.  As Associate Director of Sacrament Preparation, Christy works with children of all ages as they prepare to receive the Sacraments of the Church. She is dedicated to fostering a deep love for Jesus Christ in young people and is committed to accompanying families as they encounter the grace and love of God through the sacraments.

Jeffrey Kremer

Position: Associate Director of Youth & Family Formation

Bio:  Jeffrey was hired in 2019 as the youth and young adult minister at St. Mary of the Assumption. In 2023, he took on his current role as Associate Director of Youth Formation, across all three of our churches. He previously served at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish in Glassboro, New Jersey. He was a member of Notre Dame’s Echo program, where he graduated with a Masters in Theology. He is focused on helping our youth answer Christ’s call to discipleship, become co-workers in the vineyard, and participate in the life of the Church.

Alicia Fleck

Position: Sacrament Preparation Event Planner

Bio: Leveraging her background in corporate event planning, Alicia now channels her passion into the Faith Formation team. In collaboration with Christy, she designs and delivers memorable and engaging experiences - including retreats, informational meetings, and other events - that prepare young parishioners for the sacraments and inspire them to grow deeper in their faith.

Jen Moore

Position: Lead for Catechist Development

Bio: Jen is a passionate educator, excited to utilize both her personal and professional experiences in her role as Lead for Catechist Development. Jen taught 4th grade for 8 years in the Mason City School District, during which time she also earned a Master's Degree in Reading, K-12. When she and her husband welcomed twin boys in 2015, they quickly became her greatest teachers. Together, they’ve navigated the world of complex special needs and neurodivergence ever since. Jen also served as a PSR catechist for our SJPII family of parishes, so she is passionate about supporting our Bishop Leibold school teachers and PSR/YG volunteers in their faith formation vocations. She is dedicated to helping our children recognize their God-given gifts as saints in the making.
