KIDS BECOMING CATHOLIC
Kids Becoming Catholic (KBC) welcomes children seeking the Sacraments of Initiation
outside the standard year. This includes:

Ages 7 and up seeking Baptism.

Grades 3-12 in need of First Communion and First Reconciliation.
To receive sacraments in spring of 2027, contact us by September 15, 2026.
SACRAMENT
POLICIES
The policies for Sacrament Preparation listed below are outlined in Church Law.

Age 7 and up not yet baptized will receive Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil in March.

Age 7 and up baptized in a non-Catholic Church will receive First Reconciliation in December, and in the spring make a Profession of Faith and receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

Grades 3-12 baptized Catholic, but still need to receive First Reconciliation and First Communion will receive the Sacraments they need: First Reconciliation and First Communion, and Confirmation if in 7th grade and above.
PEPARATION SCHEDULE
Schedules will be based on participant’s age and the sacraments they will receive. They will
also enroll in an ongoing faith formation program: either Parish School of Religion (PSR),
Youth Group, Bishop Leibold or other Catholic school, or homeschool.
To receive sacraments in spring of 2027, contact us by September 15, 2026. Beyond that date, please reach out and we will keep your contact information for the following year.
