Blessings in a Bag is a collaborative effort among Miamisburg churches to provide weekend food for children in need attending Miamisburg City Schools.  A variety of food items are collected in a bag and are placed in the student's backpack each Friday.

How can you help?

• Donate specified food items and place them in the church vestibule in the designated container 

  • Our Lady of Good Hope: pop-top Chef Boyardee items, microwaveable mac and cheese, and peanut butter (16oz plastic containers)

  • St. Henry: vienna sausages, beanie weenies, and tuna pouches

• Make a monetary donation

  • Write a check payable to St. John Paul II Parish with "Blessings in a Bag" in memo line​

  • Place cash in an envelope marked "Blessings in a Bag" into the collection basket at Mass

  • Online donation here (coming soon)

• Pack and deliver food bags to the schools

  • Join us to help pack 200 bags on Wednesdays from 5:45 - 6:45 PM during the months of September, October, January and February. We meet at Miamisburg Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 2155 Leiter Rd. and deliver the bags to Bauer and Bear Elementary​. Come to the east door of the church located next to a small shed for roughly 30-45 minutes of packing.
